What would a good father be like?

It’s not just me who has asked this question before. There seem to be many troubled fathers all over who trouble their children… 

After my last post, I asked again.

And maybe this is an answer –

A good father would strive to be patient, kind, not be dishonouring others, unselfish, not easily angered, always protecting, always trusting, always hoping, always persevering…

I recently heard a priest say that he quite likes it when people address him as “Father” since he considers it part of his ministry to change the negative connotations that name might have for some people…

There is yet hope…
