Absurdly Loved

“We can only be faithful in our affirmation that God has not deserted us but has called us in the middle of all the unexplainable absurdities of life.”

Henri Nouwen (read here)

God has not deserted us.

In death, in prison (or detention centres), in hospitals, in crises of emotional or mental or physical health, in change that was forced on us, in risks we took, in disillusionment, in bitterness, in seemingly endless struggles, in unanswered questions, in unreconciled relationships, in perceived failure, in whatever realisation of our limitations,

God has not deserted us.
