We Give Thanks and Celebrate

Let’s try that this week – St Francis Day is coming up next weekend, 4 October.

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from God,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

She will not let your foot slip—
    she who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, she who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

God watches over you—
    she is your shade at your right hand;
Brother Sun will not harm you by day,
    nor Sister Moon by night…

God will keep you from all harm—
    she will watch over your life;
God will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

Matthew 10:29-31

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Let’s celebrate this week – look up and know you’re cared about.

Amen.
